After 8 years as pastors in Mansfield, OH the Church of God in Tanzania, Africa asked us to oversee and provide accountability for the Safina Child Sponsorship program. After transferring leadership of that program into the hands of Tanzanians, we've followed God's call back to the U.S. Check out the postings below to stay updated on our process, life, and ministry.

Our Trip to the Travel Clinic
Well, 3 hours and 14 shots later we have completed our visit to the Clinic and have received the bulk of our inoculations for our upcoming field trip. Off the top of my head I think we received vaccinations for Hepatitis, Polio, Typhoid, narcolepsy, zombies, and some sort of mild dandruff.
At final count, Ian came in last with 1 shot, Elliana finished a respectable 3rd with 3 shots, and Deanna and I tied at 5 shots a piece. Although, quite honestly, I'm considering myself the winner based on the emotional trauma involved.
Tears were kept at a minimum throughout the process. In fact, "Big E" (Ian), didn't even flinch when he got his shot. That was probably due in large part to his current state of adorable chubbiness. He probably didn't even feel the needle.
The folks at the Mansfield Health Department were awesome, and we were fortunate enough to share with them about our ministry.
A little later Deanna should have the pictures from today posted, so if you're the type of weirdo that enjoys looking at hypodermic needles, you should be pumped.
Thanks for the love and support.
