After 8 years as pastors in Mansfield, OH the Church of God in Tanzania, Africa asked us to oversee and provide accountability for the Safina Child Sponsorship program. After transferring leadership of that program into the hands of Tanzanians, we've followed God's call back to the U.S. Check out the postings below to stay updated on our process, life, and ministry.

In the Studio
Another week has passed, and we are one step closer to hopping across the pond and experiencing some of what life in Tanzania will really be like. Below you'll find out what, if anything, we've accomplished this week in making that trip a reality. And of course, as you've already seen above, there's some perspective from a beautiful and hilarious 3 year old.
Thursday we headed to Anderson, Indiana to take Mr. Cory Kinnan on his first official college visit, and to do some work with Global Missions while we where there. After dropping Cory off at AU, we had dinner with Mike and Heather Webb, and their beautiful new daughter Madeline. The Webbs are missionaries to Tanzania who are home on leave, so it was great getting their perspective and advice, and meeting some of the new friends that we will have on arrival.
It is with some degree of disappointment that I post this latest update however. We spent most of Friday in the recording studio taping interviews and segments for our promotional video. It was my hope coming into this project that this might finally be my big break. That perhaps, as I waxed poetically on film some bystander would notice and deem me fit to become the face and voice of the Church of God in all subsequent video and audio projects. I believed myself to be the next Ted Williams, albeit not quite as homeless and significantly less talented vocally.
Regardless, it was a great couple of days. Big thank yous to the Webbs, and to Logan Ritchhart for working with us on our video.
Again, thanks to everyone for the love and support.
