We've just made it back to Ohio after spending the weekend in various spots around the great flat state of Indiana. We spent a couple of days doing some training and meeting with Global Missions and Children of Promise, and then headed south to be with the First Church of God in Petersburg. It was great to be able to catch up with Ron and Carol Baker, as they are in the states right now, on a brief home assignment from ministry in Tanzania. And as always, the staff of GM and COP were amazing.
Petersburg First Church of God has picked us up and they are now our newest Living Link Supporters. They were absolutely incredible. From the moment we arrived they overwhelmed us with their generosity and support. They made us feel so loved. They arranged for us to stay at an amazing bed and breakfast/ working farm, and we had our own private cabin. Just a fantastic visit with some great people. A very special thank you to Pastor Joe Shouse and his wife Denise, who really went out of their way to make us feel so special.
We also worked on a little project during this trip, the video you see below. We thought it might be interesting for people to get a taste of what it's like to travel with us. So enjoy, and again, thanks so much for the love and support. We will be in Reynoldsburg, OH this weekend.
After 8 years as pastors in Mansfield, OH the Church of God in Tanzania, Africa asked us to oversee and provide accountability for the Safina Child Sponsorship program. After transferring leadership of that program into the hands of Tanzanians, we've followed God's call back to the U.S. Check out the postings below to stay updated on our process, life, and ministry.
