After 8 years as pastors in Mansfield, OH the Church of God in Tanzania, Africa asked us to oversee and provide accountability for the Safina Child Sponsorship program. After transferring leadership of that program into the hands of Tanzanians, we've followed God's call back to the U.S. Check out the postings below to stay updated on our process, life, and ministry.

20,000 Miles in a Church Van
Typically this space is reserved for information and news related to our work with Church of God Global Missions and Children of Promise. But so much of our life is still rooted at our church in Mansfield, Ohio and the transitions and processes taking place as our work there comes to a close. As such, I wanted to take a moment and reflect and share on my last major trip with my students.
Last week I returned from 8 days in the mountains of Tennessee, time spent building faith, relationships, and memories. It was on this trip that I surpassed my 20,000 mile driven in a church van. I've driven students all over the United States in the last 7 years, and they have truly been the most special times of my life. It's hard to imagine that the days of teenagers literally bouncing our van down the highway are coming to a close.
A couple of random memories from this recent trip, with a select few photos to illustrate.
1. Planking has infiltrated our group...
and I'm not very good at it...
2. You can't get them all going in the right direction. We had the opportunity to participate in Horseback Riding, Mountain Biking, Climbing, Ziplining, Whitewater Rafting, and Hiking.
3. You build a lot of memories crawling through the mud together.
That's enough for now. If we are friends on facebook, check out the 300 or so other pictures and memories from our time.
Again, I just wanted to take a second and share a little about some of the people that make my life so meaningful, and give me so much joy. I want them to know just how much I love and appreciate them. How proud of them I am. That I've seen in them so much potential and gifting. That I really do believe that they will change the world. They have certainly changed mine.
