Princess Shoes and Family

A large part of our lives in the past couple of months has consisted of packing, sorting, and storing our possessions. During one of my many trips from the closet to the Tupperware bin I came across an old pair of Elliana’s shoes. Most people would probably see no significance in this worn out pair of glittery slip-ons. But to me, those shoes hold a thousand memories; moments I watched her dance across our living room or run up to me for hugs and kisses. My favorite memory is my little princess asking me to turn on “When I think about the Lord.” She would twirl and spin around the room singing and praising Jesus, her little voice shouting “Hallelujah, thank you Jesus!”

Watching her made my heart melt with pure joy. I was so proud, and couldn’t begin to fathom or understand just how proud God must have been at that moment. It seems we see only a tiny piece of the lives of the people around us. And we only scratch the surface of the memories and moments that make up their existence. But that shouldn’t stop us from listening, from praying, from joining in the lives and journeys of those around us. You have been gracious to join in the lives of our family, and come along for our adventures. We sincerely want to return the favor. Please continue to let us know what is happening in the lives of you and your family or congregation. We are working on a consistent prayer schedule to lift up you and your needs, and would love to know what specific things we can pray for. We would also love any pictures, websites, or information that can keep us up to date on all things you. You really are a part of our family.

Please continue the conversation and send us some info at Revcompton@gmail.com

Much Love,

Deanna
