We have just made it back from the wilderness of rural Pennsylvania. We had the great pleasure of worshiping and sharing with the Oakland Church of God in Distant, PA. The congregation was incredible and we were blessed to be able to share through the Sermon (Scott) and Interpretive Dance (Deanna). Oakland is actually where Deanna spent the first 5 years of her life, so it was neat to meet some of her old Sunday School and Childrens' Church teachers. Most of Deanna's extended family still lives in PA, so we even had a chance to stay with her grandma and hangout with a lot of her family members.
As I mentioned before, Deanna was afforded the opportunity to close the service with dance. Regrettably I wasn't asked to participate, as I had brought my unitard as well. Oh well, I'm sure there will be more opportunities. Any churches out there reading this, I'm available. In fact, our entire family has some serious moves.
